Provost Speaker Request

The provost welcomes opportunities for engagement by reviewing and accommodating all speaking requests based on availability.

Complete the form below to invite George Mason's provost to speak at an event. This information will allow the Office of the Provost to address your event request in a timely manner.

Please review these important notes before submitting your event for consideration:

  • Requests should be submitted at least 14 calendar days prior to the event; for events occurring in the next two weeks, please contact us directly. Submissions will be considered on a first-come basis and early submission is encouraged.

  • Upon review of your completed form, you will be notified of the status of your request.

  • If the provost is available to speak at your event, you will receive a confirmation email with briefing template due 10 calendar days prior to the event. The briefing template will request final details such as the event schedule, speaking points, and day-of logistics.

  • Depending on the nature and timing of your request, we may recommend another university leader to speak at your event if the provost is not available.

  • The provost’s schedule may change at any time based on university business and responsibilities. If such situations affect the provost's attendance at your event, a member of our staff will contact you.

Contact Sarah Parnell, director of provost administration and operations, if you have any questions or concerns about the process.
