Mason rises in innovation rankings

Innovation is Tradition is a time-honored Mason slogan, but the latest ranking data from US News and World Report confirms what many in the university community have known all along. Listed as one of 29 of the most innovative schools, Mason advanced from its 2016 ranking and is tied with four other schools at #14 in a competitive category where college officials determine how schools will place. Besides being singled out for innovative improvements in areas which include faculty, students, and facilities, Mason also placed in several other rankings lists, including as a Top Public School (#68), a Best College for Veterans (#89), and a Best Value School (#103). Additionally, in a separate ranking, Mason’s Schar School of Policy and Government came in 10th in the Best Value School’s annual list of Innovative Public Services Schools.
