“As an academic community, we have a responsibility to uplift our students, especially the most disadvantaged, to create a more just and prosperous society. The most rewarding part of my work is being able to convey, through my writing, the true impact of Mason’s initiatives on the lives of these students.”

Grant Writer

As Grant Writer, Angelina leads the team’s efforts to identify and secure funding opportunities for our initiatives. In her role, she is responsible for researching viable options for support, designing creative proposals in collaboration with the New Ventures team and Mason faculty and staff, and managing the grants process from start to finish. With Mason embarking on exciting and innovative ways to expand access to education, Angelina is keen on ensuring that our initiatives are properly supported, align with donor interests, and create value for students.

Before joining Mason, Angelina worked in the non-profit sector for seven years, where she focused on advocacy and hunger issues. Her belief in equal access to opportunities and services led her to higher education and the Academic Innovation & New Ventures team. She is excited to be back at Mason, her alma mater, where she received her degrees in Finance and Global Affairs.
